In search of Spanish brands around the world

The Leading Brands of Spain Forum, Contrapunto BBDO and Clear Channel España have launched ‘Marcas españolas por el mundo’ (Spanish Brands Around the World), a campaign to show the international expansion of Spanish brands.

Supported by the Office of the High Commissioner for Marca España and the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO), this campaign is aimed at showing an ill-known aspect of Spanish brands and companies: their strong presence in international markets.

Contrapunto BBDO, an advertising agency, managed the campaign’s creativity, while Clear Channel, a firm specialising in communication, will be in charge of street and social media advertising (650 advertising platforms, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram).

Interaction with international audiences

‘Spanish Brands Around the World’ is an original campaign reaching out to international audiences. It invites Spanish citizens to encourage their foreign friends to take a picture or make a video with a Spanish brand in their countries, and to share the images on Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #marcasxelmundo.

The winners will get a trip to Spain for the friend living abroad and a trip to the friend’s country for the person living in Spain. All the entries will be available for view on the website marcasxelmundo.com.

3000 companies with a global presence

According to the Leading Brands of Spain Atlas, there are as many as 3000 Spanish companies operating in international markets. With international sales accounting for 56.72% of their total business, these firms are present in more than 53 countries. Moreover, many of them are global leaders in their sectors.
